This course is specifically designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, dietitians, pharmacists, psychologists, certified diabetes educators, and other health care professionals who care for patients with diabetes or who manage the complications related to this disease.
At the end of this activity, the attendees should be able to:
- State the four components of the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
- Identify new tools to increase screening/testing for prediabetes and referral to CDC-recognized programs.
- Name key areas to address when rolling out a Diabetes Prevention Program in a community.
- Identify three solutions to participant engagement and four challenges for program sustainability.
