This course is specifically intended for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and other health care professionals who manage patients with diabetes.
At the end of this activity, the attendees should be able to:
- Describe the burden of chronic kidney disease due to DKD in the U.S.
- Identify laboratory tests for diagnosing and monitoring DKD and assessing risk for progression.
- Indicate interventions to slow progression of DKD.
- Discuss strategies for collaborating with a nephrologist.
