Learning Objective
At the end of this activity, the attendees should be able to:
- Describe how ketones occur in diabetes and identify treatments used to reduce ketones
- Utilize a sick day action plan to reduce ketones
- Recognize diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and demonstrate treatment needed
