Target Audience
This course is designed to increase the knowledge of diabetes management for camp staff.
Learning Objective
At the end of this activity, the attendees should be able to:
- List possible actions by a camper/staff with diabetes that would lead to unexplained low glucose levels
- List possible actions by a camper/staff that would lead to unexplained high glucose levels
- State the possible effects of eating disorders, alcohol and substance use on glucose levels
- Associate behaviors that threaten glucose management with motivations leading to these behaviors
